How to Make Prawn Kofta Biryani - Recipe
Ingredients:
For Kofta:
Prawns 450 gm
Spring onion 2
Green chilies 2
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Garlic cloves 2
Salt 1/2 tsp
Turmeric 1 pinch
Red chili flakes 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tsp
Bread slices 1-2
For Biryani:
Rice soaked 2-1/2 cups
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion slices 2 medium
Garlic crushed 2 tsp
Tomatoes sliced 3
Bay leaves 2
Cinnamon stick 1
Green cardamom 3
Cloves 4
Black pepper corn 8
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Tara garam masala 2 tsp
Green chilies 4-5
Mint leaves 1/2 cup
Tamarind pulp 1/4 cup
Yellow food color 1/4 tsp
Saffron essence 1 tsp
Cooking Method
- For koftay: Put all ingredients in food processor, make smooth paste, put in bowl and make small small koftay.
- Then boil rice with salt, strain it and make biryani masala.
- For biryani masala: Heat oil in pan, fry onion with bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper corn and cumin until golden brown.
- Put garlic, tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder and tara garam masala and cook it.
- Then put all koftay in masalay, add 1/2 cup water, cook until koftay is ready, add green chilies and mint leaves and make layer of rice.
- Now add tamarind pulp, saffron essence and yellow food color, cover pan, simmer it and serve hot.
