Asian Flat Iron Steak

How to Make Asian Flat Iron Steak - Recipe

Ingredients


1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon mustard powder
2 pounds flat iron steak

Method:

1: Place the soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, green onions, garlic and mustard powder in a bowl; pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add the steak, apply the marinade, squeeze out the excess air, and then seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for three to four hours.

2: Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade

3: Heat the non-stick pan with medium to high heat; cook the steak until brown and roast on the outside, about 1 minute on each side. Continue to cook until the desired degree of completion is achieved, approximately 5 minutes on each side. The instant reading thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius). Remove the frying pan from the heat and let the steak rest for 3 to 5 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle sesame seeds on the sesame seeds.
